Ceramic Papers as Structured Catalysts: Preparation and Application for Particulate Removal

Fibers represent a type of structure great interest in catalysis since they combine high area to volume ratio and can be fabricated from many types materials, such as ceramic oxides, polymers, alloys. They used isolated form or structured, the case papers synthesized this work, following modified papermaking technique. The addition cationic anionic polyelectrolytes improved retention fibers during paper formation stage by adsorption processes, through floccules. In complex aqueous system containing charged macromolecules, amounts added were determined titrations. To enhance mechanical properties papers, different classes nanoparticle suspensions binders. As novel alternative, we have borate-type compounds. Among them, selected natural ulexite, which was purified binder fibers. order improve resistance flexibility, measured tensile indexes elastic module, NaCaB5O6(OH)6.5H2O calcination temperature varied. contribution, take advantage unique characteristics ulexite-containing impregnated with Co,Ce Co,Ba,K tested for diesel soot combustion.
